 AUBG received a big grant over the summer, which it will mostly use for the construction of a new Student Center. But a considerable part of the money will also go to scholarships for newly admitted Bulgarian students. "Student financial aid is our top priority for fund-raising," William Kirschke said.

 After 15 years as an assistant professor in political science, Ben DeDominicis resigned from AUBG. The administration received his resignation letter in mid-July.

 After one year away in the United States, Milica Trpevska has returned to AUBG and to FlashNews. She is one of the senior reporters at FlashNews and the only blind student at AUBG right now. After her stay in the United States, she returns to Blagoevgrad more confident in her mobility skills and also better equipped to fulfill her dream of becoming a reporter who will help bring more peace to the world. This is her personal story about her internship and mobility training on the other side of the Atlantic.
