The AUBG Choir reached its highest achievement since 1996 with the participation in the 18th International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music with Petr Eben Prize, held on Nov. 28-30 in Prague, Czech Republic. The Choir won a Golden Band in the category Youth and Mixed Choirs over 25 Singers.
"I expect by the end of this week to have the prize exhibited ... in Skaptopara 1," Hristo Krotev, music professor and choirmaster, said. Choirs from over 20 European countries as well as from South Africa, Singapore, and Russia participated in the festival. In 1996 the AUBG Choir won the First Prize Laureate in the Mixed Choir category at the "Caecilia Choir Days," an international choir competition in Limburg, Germany. |
